The path ahead
may feel steep ...
this quote says it well:
"One day, this mountain
will be behind you,
but who you become
in the process of getting over it
will stay with you always."
- Brianna Wiest

Dear Fellow Explorer,

If you’ve found your way here, there’s something I want you to know.

Your life isn’t on pause.
It’s waiting.

Waiting for you to wake up to it, show up for it, and take ownership of it — not by becoming someone else, but by engaging the life that’s already yours.

You are not broken.
You are not a project to be fixed.
You are standing at a crossroads — one that deserves care, honesty, and respect.

Many of us are taught that change means reinventing ourselves — becoming better, stronger, more disciplined. In my experience, that path is usually exhausting and rarely leads where we hope it will.

What does work is something quieter and more humane.

Instead of asking, “Who do I need to become?”
I invite you to ask, “How do I want to live?”

Because how you live your life shapes your well-being far more reliably than trying to change who you are.

Maybe you’ve been living on autopilot, shrinking to fit the demands around you, or carrying more responsibility than your nervous system can reasonably hold. Maybe you’ve been waiting for life to calm down before you begin again. Or maybe cancer — as a survivor or a caregiver — has changed the landscape so completely that the old ways of living no longer fit.

If any of that sounds familiar, you’re not failing.
You’re responding to real conditions.

My name is Wayne Mylin. I’m a life navigation coach, and I work with people at moments like this — when life feels unfamiliar, when the ground has shifted under your feet, when the question is no longer “How do I get back to who I was?” but “How do I live well from here?”

My work is not about changing who you are. It’s about meeting who you are now with compassion and respect — your temperament, your limits, your strengths, your history — and then exploring what kinds of experiences you want your life to hold. From there, we look at how to shape your days, your choices, and your rhythms so your life can better support those experiences.

I draw from positive psychology, mindfulness, Eastern medicine, life navigation skills, and integrative cancer coaching. But at its core, this work is practical and grounded. It’s about moving out of constant reaction and into intentional living — not a fantasy life, but a real one that fits your body, your values, and your capacity.

You don’t need to fix yourself to begin.
You don’t need to be certain or confident.
You don’t need a five-year plan.

If you’re tired of walking the same deeply rutted trail, I’ll walk beside you as we explore possible new trails — with steadiness, clarity, and a map designed for real life.

We’ll focus less on who you think you "should" be and more on how you want to live your one precious life.

Let’s build a life that feels like it belongs to you.

Let’s get you home to yourself.

If you’d like to explore what that could look like in your own life, you’re in the right place.

Meet Your Guide
Hi, I’m Wayne.

If something in the letter above resonated, it may be because it reflects how I’ve come to understand change after decades of working with people at meaningful crossroads.

I’m a health and wellness coach, integrative cancer care specialist, shiatsu therapist, and long-time practitioner of life navigation skills. But more importantly, I understand that most people don’t need to be fixed. They simply need support in learning to live well within the realities of their lives.

I’ve spent years walking beside people through illness, caregiving, grief, transition, and profound uncertainty — helping them orient, steady themselves, and shape lives that reflect what matters to them, even when circumstances are imperfect, or the path ahead isn’t fully clear.

The work I offer is practical and humane. We don’t chase an ideal version of you or wait for life to settle down. We focus on how you want to live and how to make that possible, given who you are and what your life actually holds.

You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin.
You just need a place to start and a guide who respects where you are.

If that’s what you’re looking for, I’d be glad to walk with you.
