The Painted Path
Wander slowly. Feel deeply. Return often.
Each brushstroke in this gallery tells the story of a moment on the trail ... a pause at basecamp, a climb through inner terrain, or a glimpse of light breaking through the trees.
These watercolor scenes reflect the journey we’re all on - the messy, beautiful, uncertain, courageous path of waking up, showing up, and owning up.
Let the images speak to your own unfolding story.
Why Watercolor?
Life doesn't always show up in crisp, defined lines. When you're feeling clear, confident, and on track, the world can look like a photograph ... sharp, focused, easy to navigate. But when life veers off course, when you're in transition, in grief, frustrated, in uncertainty ... it starts to blur. Edges soften. The path fades. Everything feels a little washed out and undefined.
That’s where watercolor comes in.
I use watercolor images across my site and materials to reflect these tender, in-between moments. The wilderness spaces are where things fall apart just enough to make room for something new. Watercolor speaks to the truth that meaning often emerges not when life is polished and perfect, but when it’s fluid, messy, and real.
These images are an invitation: to slow down, look deeper, and allow your inner compass - your imagination, your intuition, your quiet knowing - to guide you forward.
