My name is Wayne, and I'll be your trail guide today. If we're going to spend some time together, I should tell you a few things about myself.
The most important thing to tell you is that you are in good hands. I've been a healthcare professional all my working life. The first half was in the mental health field, and the second half was as a shiatsu therapist.
This means that I have spent my life supporting others on their journey. Whether it's helping them navigate through a crisis, cope with the challenges in their lives, create a solid foundation underneath themselves, or find ways to thrive in their lives, I know the territory. It's what I do. It's my passion and purpose.
Why coaching?
My shiatsu therapy practice at Abramson Cancer Center/Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia ended abruptly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Having no idea how long the pandemic would last, I kept waiting for a "return to normal," only to realize two years later that the old normal was never coming back.
Like many, I experienced these 2 years as a time of loss, uncertainty, and anxiety. The path I was on had grown over and gone wild. So, now it's time to figure out what to do next. It's time to forge a new path.
My new path is relaunching my practice through this website, a virtual wellness basecamp, and life and wellness coaching. Times are different. Our needs are different. More of us are struggling to make some sense of the world and to find ways to survive and thrive even while feeling overwhelmed. So, my new practice is a total rethink of how I can support you while you're trying to adapt to all the change—just like I am.
What to expect.
My Best Life Coaching provides the support and resources needed by cancer patients and survivors, caregivers, busy people trying to fit self-care into their lives, those experiencing a life transition (such as retirement), and anyone wanting to enhance their health and well-being.
This virtual practice is where I'll share my accumulated knowledge of holistic, Eastern, and Chinese Medicine wisdom, perspectives, principles, and strategies for improving your health and well-being. I want to share this with as many people as possible. It's a treasure trove of simple and realistic activities, tools, and perspectives that have the power to transform your life.
I'll share this knowledge through blogs, podcasts, newsletters, courses and programs, and online coaching sessions. If you like, you can also join a membership group for additional support and fun.
You can do this on your own time and in your own way. Wellness is created one day at a time, one step at a time. So, you have options for creating the experience you want to have.
